This week, we're thrilled to present a high-octane, DAW-less electronic set from OMO! Our first encounter with OMO was at our Paramita takeover in December, where his energetic dance moves, magnetic personality, and deep passion for music hardware and samplers immediately caught our attention. Utilizing his trusted SP-404 and Elektron grooveboxes, OMO creates experimental dance music that is thought-provoking, mystifying, and endlessly groovy.

We connected with OMO at Ziggy's in Ypsilanti for Gear Lords—a monthly, hardware-focused electronic music showcase he hosts alongside the 734-based promoter-organizer, Evan Oswald. In this recorded set, OMO delivers an energetic mix of electronic flavors, showcasing his eclectic ear for samples and his captivating performance skills.

We're back this week with an intimate home studio performance from Her Boyfriend! Over the last few months, Her Boyfriend has been spending time in between projects working on developing a DAW-less production setup based around the EP-133 KO II and SP-404. In this vibey lo-fi mix, he shares the fruits of his recent explorations, showcasing a diverse range of expertly curated hip-hop flavors and textures.

Along with frequent collaborators such as Hi-Tech & JMT, Fullbodydurag is at the forefront of a new wave of artists rejuvenating the iconic Detroit ghetto-tech sound with a modern flair, earning accolades from both new listeners and seasoned industry veterans. His debut album released in 2023 is a masterclass in the modern Detroit electronic sound. Satta is a veteran selector, a multi-instrumentalist, hardware enthusiast, and producer known for crafting groovy dub & dancehall riddims, instrumental hip-hop, and eclectic electronic flavors. For this session, Satta came prepared with the SP loaded with cuts from his recent lo-fi beat tape, 'Heat & Repeat Vol. 1.' He also tapped the talented rapper/skateboarder, Ace, to MC and enhance the vibes with some laid-back raps.
